Now THIS is something different. The Cinemood Portable Movie Theater.
Now I thought this was for adults since it says it streams Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube, but it seems to be marketed toward kids. Though clearly adults can use it for those other channels. They require internet and the kids programming does not - read on to explain.
The 16 gig cube comes pre-loaded with a bunch of Disney content, like Ebooks and 75 cartoons, plays lullabies and has a paid channel you can add for kids for $3.99 a mo (or try for 14 days free).
BUT - you can also use it to project YouTube content and Netflix and Amazon Prime movies. And there is also some kind of news update so it has to be for adults too. You do need to connect to internet for those.
PLUS: There are parental controls, you can change the language, and set up bluetooth so someone can use on their own. Even has a timer for auto shut off.
ON SALE at publication for $279 down from $399 from CINEMOOD!
If you're still not clear on it, you can watch this video from Best buy Canada that pretty much covers it.

With a 30 days no questions asked money back guarantee maybe it's worth a try.
Watch it anywhere there is a place to show it - floor, walls or ceiling. The pic quality is reported as sharp and expands up to 12 feet with good sound quality for the size of the cube. Control play, pause etc from the projector itself or an app on your phone. Stays charged through about two movies. IF used for the kids content, it does not have to use wireless and they are not staring at a blue-light screen - so both harmful effects are removed!

I love that you can do this with your kids -or the kid in you. Full disclosure, the loaded Disney content does not look like the premium stuff you may be thinking of, but it's legit material. You can likely see Frozen and Lion King etc through Netflix or Amazon Prime.

NOTE: There is also a second one ON SALE for $349 (from $499) called the 360 on the site. It costs a little more has 32G of storage, is 2x faster, and has motion games kids can get involved with... read for yourself and decide.
