This is special. Check out StoryWorthy. It's a way to create a nice bound book book of your loved one's stories from their life, best jokes, and memories, that they - and you - and generations to come can enjoy.  Here's how it works: Once a week, choose a question to inspire them to write and send via email, which is shared with you. If easier, I suppose you can record a conversation about it over zoom or on your phone and write the email yourself. At the end of a year, their stories are bound into a beautiful keepsake book!  $99 includes weekly story prompts and 1 black and white interior hardcover book.

Your folks would welcome non-digital gifts like this.  For the person who is organized - or needs to be - these are da bomb! Smead Fast Tabs are a very high quality folder hanger with 1/3 cut tabs (or single side tabs ). Pick your color, but I love this Moss green, much more soothing to the eye. It does not come apart or jam up in the drawer like the old ones did, and though they offer the little plastic labels that were so much work, it eliminates the need!   Find at Office Supply for $15, Staples for $19 (where you may have points) or Amazon for $23 a box.
And the file folders to go inside made by Smead come in a box of 1/3 cut tabs in 4 colors. Some have reinforced tabs, but these run thicker and sturdier on the whole than ordinary manilla folders.  You can buy boxes of solids as well, in muted or brighter hues. I use these and they're the best! At Staples or Office Supply from $12-30 for a box of 100.

Need to protect the mattress from stains and spills? The Jersey Waterproof is a straight topper with a difference: NO CRINKLE sounds. Most waterproof ones do. And it's encased between two layers of soft cotton jersey, so the sheets they put over it will not be influenced by the fabric beneath.

How about a quilted heating or the ultra-cooling mattress pad? Hypoallergenic foam?
