Dive In

For lack of attention a thousand forms of loveliness elude us every day.
—Evelyn Underhill

What will you pay attention to today?

I'm going to pay attention to my friends who may need me today. I'm available.

Everything else has been getting to much of my attention. Today is the day for the humble work of the house :)

Excellent thought, Sydney. Today, I went deep into the mountains of Puerto Rico...I kept looking at the sunlight on contrasting points of rock surface and green foilage. I guess I was paying attention to the light.

My backyard, eroding down the hill. How can I stop this before I have no yard?

I think the loveliest thing that I haven't paid attention to lately is myself. I spend so much time taking care of my husband and my children that my needs tend to get lost in the shuffle. I am going to make a conscious effort to do something just for me at least once a week. It could be as simple as taking a bubble bath or as extravagant as buying myself a Gucci bag. Okay, who am I kidding, the Gucci bag is not in the plans, but it was a nice thought.

Great quote! I need to hear this more often.

Today, I'm choosing to pay some attention to:

blogland cause I've been lost in blahland too long

housework (I've got the early spring cleaning bug)

the beautiful snow outside because although we've been getting a lot of it and some part of me is sick of the cold...I'd better soak it up now cause it won't be here in a few months

Me in a healthy way...not in a pathetic blah'ish lazy way

and of course kittens and cats and cats and kittens.
