Anyone who is a film fanatic knows of the Criterion Collection, considered the creme de la creme of movie curation. For a long time, none of these great art films were available to own, and then they began to be offered as DVD's. Now I know with Netflix, HULU, Streampix and the like, DVD's may be a thing of the past. But there are collectors and purists who would still do a backflip to receive a hard copy of something like Seven Samauri, Wild Strawberries, The Wings of Desire, The Double Life of Veronique, The Red Shoes, Au Revior Les Enfants, In the Realm of the Senses, Rules of the Game, Olivier's Shakepseare and many more.
I have spent many hours drooling over these films, some of which were 50, 80, 120 each.
