We the people of planet earth are a fascinating lot - New Yrok City is one of the world's true melting pots. People from all races, ages, ethnicities, incomes, and philosophies all live and work together pretty darn well... 

Humans of New York, Brandon Stanton's enormously visited Tumblr website and subsequent Facebook page is packed with touching images of and mini-interviews with people of all ages on the streets of NYC. Hard to explain this street photography of all kinds of people and what they say in a random moment, but each is touching or thought provoking as well as entertaining.  It is now a book, called The Humans of New York. $18.35 at Barnes and Noble, but you can find it in all the usual places.
