I just lost my keys and upended the entire house, car, garden and garage to find them. I looked under furniture, dug through the garbage, checked every pocket, even places I knew they couldn't be in - and then I did it all again. Several calls to locksmiths and AAA, business appointments canceled, a flatbed tow + riding shotgun for half hour to the dealership, an hours' wait, a new key and fob and about $300 later I drove back home and promptly found the keys in the pocket of a coat. SOUND FAMILIAR?
Some tech wizard thought to invent The TILE.
You can read all about the App and how it works and order a tile HERE, but below is a little from their site:
"While Tile doesn't have GPS real-time location information, the app does automatically record the last place your phone saw your Tile. Because if you have to retrace your steps, it's good to know where to start walking.
When you begin searching for a lost item, your phone tracks the Bluetooth signal strength of your Tile. As you get closer, the app's tracking circle fills in, giving you a clear indication of your progress.
As the Bluetooth signal draws you closer, Tile's distinctive melody will play until your lost item is back in safe hands."
One TILE is $20. Order 4-12 for $15 each. The App supports as many as 8 tiles. Stick one on each remote, pack one in your suitcase, slip it your purse or wallet, etc.. or share with family members.
Now if I can only figure out how to attach it invisibly to my glasses….
