You may thank me for this, all winter long! Stride Rite came out with a sneaker - boot combo called Snoots. Easy for kids to pull on, and because they have velcro straps, they can secure the boots on their own. There's a toggle style drawstring at the top that is said to completely prevent snow from coming in. So their feet stay dry. And they can run around same as they would if wearing gym shoes
Easy to fold flat to pack and machine washable... Woah! That's a great invention all 'round!
